Sumter (S.C.) trailed
Hillcrest (Simpsonville, S.C.) by 21 points at one time, but managed to come all the way back and secure a 31-28 victory on Saturday.
After nabbing the lead on a
Collin Sneed touchdown pass to
Kl-jana Madden, the Rams went into halftime with a 21-14 lead. The Fighting Gamecocks took the lead to win the game on a field goal in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Sumter still trailed by seven points going into the fourth quarter. But 10 points in the fourth helped SHS pull out the victory.
Hillcrest came in surrendering 13.4 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Hillcrest defeated Rock Hill 41-14 last week.
