The Thomas Nelson Generals will head out on the road to square off against the Sayre Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sayre took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Thomas Nelson, who comes in off a win.
Thomas Nelson waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Washington County 61-35.
Meanwhile, Sayre had to suffer through a rough 59-21 loss at the hands of the Bluehawks. While losing is never fun, Sayre can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Bluehawks are ranked 110th).
Thomas Nelson now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Sayre, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-18.
