MJ Gaines and Oliver Eve did most of the damage at the plate: Gaines went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Eve went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Eve a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Girton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
Park Tudor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Greenwood Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Oldenburg Academy on Tuesday and fell 5-4.
Chase Comerford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Bryce Jacobson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Park Tudor's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Park Tudor has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greenwood Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
