The Simeon Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Dyett 66-20 at home. That 66-20 margin sets a new team best for Simeon this season.
Simeon found their leader in underclassman Janiya Pillow, who scored 19 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Pillow scored 15 or more points. Sheliyah Battle was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The win got Simeon back to even at 4-4. As for Dyett, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simeon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carmel at 11:30 a.m. on December 26th. Dyett will be home for the holidays to greet Chicago Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chicago Marshall will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
