The Mt. Diablo Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-37 walloping at the hands of Lincoln.
Mt. Diablo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Willy Jones, who scored 12 points. Jones scored a full 32.4% of Mt. Diablo's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Canaria, who scored 9 points.
Mt. Diablo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Mt. Diablo's road trip will continue as they head out to face College Park at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th. College Park is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Athenian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Athenian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.4 points per game.
