Even though the South Johnston Trojans have not done well against the West Johnston Wildcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. South Johnston walked away with  a   46-35  victory over West Johnston. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for South Johnston.
 Among those leading the charge was   Lannah Price, who  scored 22 points.  Brooke Winborne was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 South Johnston's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-8. As for West Johnston,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Johnston won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Southern Wayne at 6:15  p.m.  on January 24th. Hopefully Southern Wayne focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for West Johnston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fike at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fike is coming into the  game hot, having won their last five games.
