The Gouverneur Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Norwood-Norfolk at home to the tune of 85-29. Gouverneur has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Raine Rumble was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Kaleb Platt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Gouverneur's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Norwood-Norfolk, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Gouverneur will head out on the road to take on the Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Franklin Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wildcats in New York (the Huskies are ranked 210th, while the Wildcats are ranked 519th). Norwood-Norfolk does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
