The Hamilton Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Biggs Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hamilton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Hamilton on the road against Trinity as the squad secured a 48-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Hamilton, who have now won five games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Hamilton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omar Sanchez, who picked up 137 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Bryant Odom and his 115 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Hamilton's win.
Meanwhile, Biggs strolled past Williams with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Biggs.
Biggs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Davis Long, who rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Brody Hudson also helped out as he racked up 115 rushing yards.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 5-2.
Everything went Hamilton's way against Biggs in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as Hamilton made off with a 36-15 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamilton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
