Basketball Recap: Clearview Extends Winning Streak to Five

Clearview entered their tilt with Brooklyn on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 71-60 win over the Brooklyn Hurricanes. That's two games straight that the Clippers have won by exactly 11 points.

Clearview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deacon Delgado, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Delgado is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Cy Christensen was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Clearview was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Brooklyn lost, don't look at Devin Hardwick. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. That was a full 56.7% of Brooklyn's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Starr, who went 7 for 13 en route to 15 points.

Clearview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Brooklyn, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Clearview will welcome Firelands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Clearview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
