The Dayton Dust Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lowry, falling 68-34. Dayton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-16.
Ayisha Agee and Aileen Hernandez certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Agee scored 14 points along with four steals, while Hernandez scored ten points along with two steals. Agee has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.
Dayton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Lowry, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Dayton will stay at home for another game and welcome Churchill County at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Lowry, they will head out on the road to challenge Fernley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fernley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
