This season hasn't been kind to SEED DC, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell 67-59 to KIPP College Prep on Friday. SEED DC was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as KIPP College Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Wendell Allsbrook and Noah Mercer certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Allsbrook dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds, while Mercer scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Markal Ingram, who scored two points along with nine rebounds.
SEED DC's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for KIPP College Prep, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
SEED DC will be home for the holidays to greet Digital Pioneers Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for KIPP College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Idea at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Idea focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
