Baseball Recap: Murfreesboro Has No Trouble Against Dierks

Murfreesboro came out on top against Dierks on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Rattlers put the hurt on the Outlaws with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Rattlers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by ten runs or more this season.

Murfreesboro has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Dierks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Murfreesboro will challenge rival Foreman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dierks is set to face off against their familiar foe Caddo Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
