Lebanon hasn't had much luck against Guerin Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lebanon Tigers will challenge the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Lebanon has given up an average of 50.1 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
Lebanon is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Harrison 79-50. The Tigers were down 61-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Guerin Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Trailblazers 73-47. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.
Lebanon better keep an eye on Bryson Cardinal. He was instrumental in Guerin Catholic's win, dropping a double-double with 30 points and 14 boards. Cardinal is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last four games he's played. Ryne Paris was another key player, putting up nine points and seven assists.
Guerin Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They racked up 14 more assists than University's also-impressive total of ten.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Lebanon hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.3 points per game. However, it's not like Guerin Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Lebanon was dealt a bruising 61-29 defeat at the hands of Guerin Catholic in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Lebanon, Robert Sorensen (who shot 56% from the field on his way to 18 points and six steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
