Pleasant Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Shasta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will face off against the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Pleasant Valley knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Shasta likes a good challenge.

Rylie Bumgarner made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Pleasant Valley let Isabella Cummings and Sofia Bowersox run wild. Cummings went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Bowersox went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Lily Thurman was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three runs.
Pleasant Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Shasta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Sweig, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Pleasant Valley is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Shasta, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
Shasta's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pleasant Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. It's a different story for Shasta, though, as they've only averaged .326. Will they be able to contain Pleasant Valley's hitters?
Pleasant Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Shasta when the teams last played on April 14th, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
