Aucilla Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Bass, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and four steals, and Benjamin Faglie who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Faglie hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Eli Conrad was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three blocks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Wakulla Christian School, who are still winless after their ninth game. They took a serious blow against Byne Christian on Tuesday, falling 74-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Wakulla Christian School has suffered since November 30, 2023.
Defeat or not, Wakulla Christian School got some senior leadership from Langston Stephens and Seth Barwick. Stephens scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Barwick. scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Barwick continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Aucilla Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Wakulla Christian School, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9.
Thursday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Aucilla Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 32.4 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Wakulla Christian School, though, as they've been averaging only 30 rebounds per game. Given Aucilla Christian's sizeable advantage in that area, Wakulla Christian School will need to find a way to close that gap.
