The game between them and Lawrence County wasn't particularly close, with Marshall County falling 60-45. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marshall County has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Marshall County still got an impressive performance from Jabrae Howard, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Howard has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamahl Gentry, who scored 14 points.
Marshall County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for Lawrence County, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with that victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
Marshall County will take on Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marshall County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Franklin County in Tennessee (Marshall County is ranked 108th, while Franklin County is ranked 224th). As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to take on Central Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Magnet has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three matches.
