The Calvert Senecas won the last time they faced the St. Paul Flyers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Calvert walked away with a 48-41 victory over St. Paul.
It was another big night for Jacob Rombach, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Otterbacher, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Calvert has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for St. Paul, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvert won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Mary Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. St. Mary Central Catholic is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for St. Paul, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mapleton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
