It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Vicksburg Gators can now relate to. They were dealt a 37-8 defeat at the hands of Grenada on Friday. Vicksburg's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Ronnie leroy Alexander threw for 141 yards on eight of 16 attempts. DeCorey Knight Jr was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards. On the ground, Malik Montgomery rushed for 28 yards.
Vicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Grenada, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Vicksburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grenada will take on Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
