Wooster is 7-0 against the Railroaders since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Wooster Colts will challenge the Sparks Railroaders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of four wins, Wooster's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 60-27 loss at the hands of South Tahoe. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wooster in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Sparks' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 36-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hug.
Sparks' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bailey Hunden, who scored seven points, and Chloe Taylor who scored four points. Taylor is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.
Wooster's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11. As for Sparks, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Wooster against the Railroaders in their previous meeting last Wednesday as the team secured a 60-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wooster since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
