The Southern Alamance Patriots's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They snuck past Southeast Alamance with a 60-54 victory. This was payback for Southern Alamance, who suffered a 68-52 loss the last time these two teams met.
Southern Alamance's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liam Forester led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Chris Epps was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Southern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Southeast Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Alamance will take on Graham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
