Tipton came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Rossville, but Ava Burkle wouldn't allow it. The Rossville Hornets were the clear victor by a 62-38 margin over the Tipton Blue Devils on Thursday thanks in part to Burkle, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. She also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Rossville is 11-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-6 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Chloe Darnell, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mackenzie Farinella, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Makayla Schinlaub was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Rossville's record is now 14-8. As for Tipton, their defeat was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.

Rossville has already played their next contest, a 52-33 victory against Frontier on the 7th. As for Tipton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-12 loss against Sheridan on the 7th.
