The Pulaski Academy Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Hamilton Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pulaski Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Lake Hamilton likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Pulaski Academy faced Greenwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pulaski Academy's tough 58-33 defeat to Greenwood might stick with them for a while. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the defeat, Pulaski Academy had strong showings from Brandon Cobb, who threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns, and Andrew Fiser, who picked up 215 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Cobb hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for five straight games.
Meanwhile, Lake Hamilton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 40-14 defeat at the hands of Russellville.
Although Lake Hamilton took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Payton and Parker Vandee.
The losses dropped Pulaski Academy to 7-2 and Lake Hamilton to 3-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Pulaski Academy has been unstoppable in the air this season, having averaged 387.1 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Lake Hamilton, though, as they've been averaging only 89.1 per game. How will Lake Hamilton fare against such a dominant passing game?
Pulaski Academy skirted past Lake Hamilton 41-39 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pulaski Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
