Make it seven blowout wins for the Antioch Bears this season. They took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 74-40 victory over Hunters Lane. The score was close at the half, but Antioch pulled away in the second half with 49 points.
Jaiden Claybrook was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddux Bodenhamer, who scored 15 points.
Hunters Lane's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Reggie Owens jr., who scored ten points, and Michael Small who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Owens jr. has scored all season. Amarien Kelly was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hunters Lane smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antioch only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
Antioch is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Hunters Lane, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
