The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rivendell Academy in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Rivendell Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lily Murray, who scored 17 points along with four steals, and Mason Fahey who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Fahey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.
Rivendell Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for White River Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Rivendell Academy will head out on the road to take on the Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for White River Valley, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Vermont (Mill River is ranked 55th, while the Wildcats are ranked 37th).
