Basketball Recap: Calhan Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Calhan extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Savannah Stewart. The Bulldogs walked away with a 48-38 victory over the Center Vikings on Friday for which the team can thank Stewart, who went 9-for-14 on her way to 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Stewart is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Center's loss came despite strong showings from Karyme Chavez and Alyciana Lujan. Chavez posted eight points, while Lujan scored four points.

Calhan's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Calhan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-29 victory against Sierra Grande on the 13th. As for Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 29-21 win against Ignacio on the 13th.
