Lisbon won the last time they faced Oak Grove Lutheran and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Broncos put the hurt on the Grovers with a sharp  13-3 victory. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Jaxon Hoffer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   eight  hits. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Lisbon let  Cam Cordero and  Jordyn Bittner run wild. Cordero  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with four  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  RBI, while  Bittner  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  stolen bases gave  Cordero a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Eli Lyons, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Lisbon was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .478. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  games.
Lisbon has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Oak Grove Lutheran,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-10.
As of now, neither Lisbon nor the Grovers have any future games scheduled.
