The Texas School for the Deaf Rangers typically have all the answers at home, but on Monday the Brentwood Christian Bears proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 45-29 win over the Rangers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brentwood Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Texas School for the Deaf had strong showings from Sulianie Casella, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds, and Jeanique Davis, who scored four points along with five rebounds. Casella has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played.
Brentwood Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Texas School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brentwood Christian will square off against Veritas Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Veritas Academy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to challenge Holy Cross at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Cross will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
