Despite the loss, DSST: Cedar saw an underclassman step up: Amaya Paul scored 13 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Rhodes, who scored 11 points.
Kent Denver was led to victory by Anya Peper and Austin Duncan. Peper scored 23 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds, while Duncan dropped a double-double on 21 points and 25 rebounds. Caroline Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 7 steals.
DSST: Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Kent Denver, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
