Grants got themselves on the board against Shiprock on Saturday, but Shiprock never followed suit. Grants took the game and then some with a 49-0 victory over Shiprock. Followers of Grants probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
The win bumped Grants' record up to 5-0. Shiprock are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Grants will stay at home next week against Taos at 7:00 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep their five-game winning streak alive. As for Shiprock, they will face off against St. Michael's.
