Armstrong hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost five straight) but thanks in part to Carter Schotting that streak is no more. The Armstrong River Hawks breezed by the Mt. Pleasant Vikings to the tune of 62-34 on Friday thanks in part to Schotting, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 19 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.
The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Brumbaugh, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 12 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).
The win got Armstrong back to even at 2-2. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
