It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the South Central Timberwolves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They beat Minneola by the very same score they won with last week: 58-12. The result was nothing new for South Central, who have now won eight matches by 30 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for JT Prusa, who rushed for 286 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Prusa has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Coda Lindsay, who rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
The win was the sixth in a row for South Central, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Minneola, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-1.
South Central will take on Victoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Victoria knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully South Central likes a good challenge. Minneola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
