The McKeel Academy Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Vanguard 79-23 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as McKeel Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Alex Sessoms was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of McKeel Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Toby Thompson, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
McKeel Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Vanguard, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
McKeel Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Davenport at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vanguard, they will head out on the road to face off against All Saints' Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
