The Middleton Vikings entered their tilt with the Thunder Ridge Titans with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Middleton took down Thunder Ridge 68-50 on Saturday.
Middleton found their leader in underclassman Zoey Blackwell, who scored 23 points along with six steals and five assists. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Elsie Wyatt, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Middleton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Thunder Ridge, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-2 record last season and are now at 4-9.
Middleton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Borah at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Thunder Ridge and Madison will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
