Matthew McDonald made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
