The Springfield Spartans lost against the Field Falcons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Springfield fell just short of Field by a score of 47-44. Springfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Loss or not, Springfield got some senior leadership from Anthony Fortner who scored 14 points and Brady Hahn who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hahn has scored all season. Jacob Thomas was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Springfield now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Field, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.
Springfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellet at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Field will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Cloverleaf at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
