Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake of the Woods). They put the hurt on the Red Lake Warriors with a sharp 18-3 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Jonah McDougall and Zack Brouse did most of the damage at the plate: McDougall went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Brouse went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That's the most hits McDougall has posted since back in April. Nolan Martinson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Lake of the Woods' victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Red Lake, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Lake of the Woods will square off against Kittson Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
