The Foothill Cougars lost to the Shasta Wolves back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Foothill walked away with a 55-47 victory over Shasta.
Foothill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Zanhiser led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Zanhiser is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Jose Cruz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Shasta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.
Foothill will play host again and welcome Chico, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chico is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season. As for Shasta, they will head out on the road to square off against Pleasant Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 221 points over their last three games.
