Baseball Recap: Wilson Wins Going Away Against Lower Richland

Wilson's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets as they made off with a 17-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Aamier Fleming was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Wilson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Lower Richland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will venture away from home to challenge Darlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Lower Richland, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lakewood at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
