 Ben Mitchell and  Tommy Neubert made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Mitchell   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Neubert   pitched two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. Mitchell also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Harvest Christian Academy is 2-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 2-5 otherwise. At the plate,  Mitchell  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI, while  Neubert  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Mitchell a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kyle Ziebell, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024.  Cael Blaudow was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
The  victory made it two in a row for Harvest Christian Academy and  bumps their season record up to 4-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for South Beloit, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Christian Academy will take on Westminster Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for South Beloit, they will face off against Ashton-Franklin Center at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Sobos surely won't give up without a fight.
