While Gustine didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 59-39 margin over the Paint Creek Pirates on Saturday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Gustine, bringing their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points on average over those games. As for Paint Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
