Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Patriot Warriors walked away with it. They skirted past Los Altos 42-39. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Leading Patriot to victory were Isaiah Miramontes and Josiah Felix. Miramontes rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, while Felix rushed for 246 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Felix was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Los Altos' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Diego Castillo, who threw for 325 yards and six touchdowns. David Titone-Perez also helped out as he racked up 103 receiving yards.
The win makes it two in a row for Patriot and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Los Altos, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Patriot will look to defend their home field on Friday against Poly at 7:00 p.m. Poly is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Los Altos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
