The Worland Warriors waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over Rocky Mountain. That looming 59-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Worland yet this season.
Rocky Mountain's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Haslem, who scored seven points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Minchow, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Worland's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Worland on the road again on Friday and play against Lovell at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Lovell is on a three-game streak of home wins, Worland a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Rocky Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wyoming Indian at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
