After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Chiles, Leon was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They blew past the Mosley Dolphins 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won three games by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kamryn Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 4-for-6.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lamonika Sims, who  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while going 4-for-6. Another player making a difference was  Jailyn Nickeo, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Leon  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 19  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.

As for Mosley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Walton  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Mosley has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
