Windsor Charter Academy proved they can win big  on Monday (they won by three) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fort Lupton Bluedevils, sneaking past  3-2. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Bluedevils  back in March, they had to take a  3-2  loss.
 Windsor Charter Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Fort Lupton into a fifth set  where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 23-25, 25-23,  15-12.
 Taylor Smith paced Windsor Charter Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Smith really made an impact as  he also led the team in assists with 21. Finally,  Brady Johnson kept Windsor Charter Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
 Despite the loss, Fort Lupton still got an impressive performance from   Roman Balcazar, who  had 21  digs.
Windsor Charter Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Fort Lupton, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the  defeat, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season.
