Rowan County took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 65-30 victory over Bath County. Given Rowan County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Bath County is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rowan County had a senior duo take command as Brayden Mirus scored 21 points along with four steals and Dashawn Watson scored 13 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Wilburn, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Rowan County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Bath County, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.
Rowan County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-35 win vs. West Carter on the 10th. Bath County's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Carter at 7:30 p.m. on February 15th.
