The Delhi Bears came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Delhi Charter 59-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Delhi also won the last time the pair played last Saturday.
Leading Delhi to victory were Jimmy Spruill and Jay Wright. Spruill dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Wright scored 24 points along with five steals. Spruill hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Ge'ryl Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Delhi is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Delhi Charter, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delhi will take on Sicily Island at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sicily Island comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Delhi Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Block at 7:00 p.m. Block is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
