It was a good run, but Markesan unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 9-5 to the Chilton Tigers.

Markesan's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Chilton, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Markesan is taking a road trip to face off against Shiocton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chilton, they will head out to challenge Kiel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.5, the Raiders 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
