Gillespie lost against Staunton/Bunker Hill back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Miners took  a  27-8 bruising from the Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Miners have lost by  exactly 19  points.

Those  140  rushing yards gave  Baker a new career-high. Another pass catcher making a difference was  Jake Spencer, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs.
Gillespie's loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Staunton/Bunker Hill, they moved to 4-4 with that  victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
