Basketball Recap: Southwest Atlanta Christian Piles Up the Points Against Social Circle

A well-balanced attack led Southwest Atlanta Christian over Social Circle in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors blew the Social Circle Redskins out of the water with a 62-33 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Southwest Atlanta Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nicora Patrick, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Patrick has scored at least a third of Southwest Atlanta Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Amy Ramos, who went 7 for 9 en route to 18 points and three steals.

Southwest Atlanta Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Social Circle only racked up eight assists.

Despite the loss, Social Circle still got an impressive performance from Jada Hyman, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

The victory was the third in a row for Southwest Atlanta Christian, bringing their record for this year to 18-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Social Circle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Southwest Atlanta Christian and Social Circle will both be playing Utopian Academy for the Arts the next time they take the court. Social Circle will head out to face Utopian Academy for the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Southwest Atlanta Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
