Scott's Branch hasn't had much luck against Cross recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Scott's Branch is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand St. John's a 54-0 shutout last Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Jaiven Conyers

08/29/25 vs Manning | 4 |
10/25/24 vs Baptist Hill | 4 |
09/19/25 vs Branchville | 3 |

It was another big night for Jaiven Conyers, who threw for 253 yards and six TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Nyren Bowman was in the mix too, providing Scott's Branch with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Cross had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over the Islanders. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Scott's Branch better focus on containing Mah'Ky Green and Tyler Harris as the pair were huge in Cross' win. Green rushed for 137 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Harris threw for 174 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.
Cross was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in four consecutive games.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cross' defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jakobe Jones, Keyawn Wilson, and Michael Bennett, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Scott's Branch's record now sits at 5-1. As for Cross, their record is now 6-1.
Scott's Branch took a serious blow against Cross in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 54-12. Thankfully for the Eagles, Karmello Jones (who rushed for 289 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
